Stereopal Home Visit:    Jacky Y.    (2nd system)                                                                                      Date: Sept 10, 2005

This is Jacky's second system.

Small but very looks very unique, this set up has a special "personality" to it.

The "spider like" creature to the left is the famous Dynaco ST-70 with EL34 tubes.   I had a Dynaco amp myself, a very long time ago.   It seems like they are part of every audiophile's journey.

They Totem speakers with Dynaudio drivers are also one of my favorite.  There is a special magic with Dynaudio drivers.  I am in love with them to this very day.

System Components:

Source: Sony 507 ESD CD Player
Preamp: Sonic Frontier Line 2 Preamp
Power Amp: Dynaco ST-70 with EL34 tubes
Speakers: Totem Model Signature
Powerline Filter: Chang Lightspeed 3200
Interconnects: Harmonic Tech Pro Silway II
Speaker Cable: RSC Prime Biwire Cable
Tape Deck: Akai GAXC Collector's item with Glass Tape Head

Jacky's Comments:

Obviously, this is my older system.   Some components were inherited from my brother.

I have been wanting to buy the matching Dynaco Preamp, but it is a little hard to find.   I know somebody who has one but he refuse to sell it to me.  It is more of a collectors item.

The AKAI tape deck is also very special and it certainly has its role in the history of audio.

It wasn't very long ago that this is one of the best tape decks out there.

Now its part of audio history.

Sonic Frontier Line 2 Preamp with Separate Power Supply.

These were once super hot items in the early 90s.

This will surely give the ROGERS LS 35a a run.

Spidery looking creature, really cool !
