William's Comments:
| I consider
myself a music lower more so than an audiophile. I do not believe
in the constant changing of equipment where you will become a slave of
the equipment. They are merely a means to better end. I try
to utilize the resources I have on hand to improve the sound before
investing in expensive new equipments I like classical music, vocals as well as some asian music. I had a pair of B&W 808s for a little while, they prove to be way too big for my room and they're also difficult to drive. The quality of the drivers on the B&W is nowhere near the quality of the ATC, they were sold off with the help of Rick. The motor I am using for my Notthingham 294 is a Verdier motor. The standard 294 motor comes with a host of problems. The speed i not constant, and it is not adjustable. It is slower than it should be which rolled off the sound and gives off a slow presentation. The Verdier motor is a lot better, especially when it is placed further away which reduces a lot of the vibrations.

Legendary Marantz 7M preamp. Side by side my DIY Marantz 7 replica, the original Marantz 7 was WAY BETTER.
It outperformed my replica by a huge margin.

ZYX Airy 3 cartridge. However, Williams prefers the sound of Koetsu cartridges over ZYX.

Verdier Motor placed 6 feet away, driven by "dental floss" believe it or not.

McIntosh MC275 sitting on Ebony blocks, on top of Costco cutting boards

The Violin is strategically placed in the center of the room. It reflects sounds and reinforces the image of vocals and other
instruments. This practice actually has a cult following among audiophiles from Hong Kong.

Notice the Ebony block on top of the Forsell Pre Pre amp.

Monster Power Conditioner

| To my ears, these old Pro-Ac speakers sounds a lot of better than some of the new products on the market. Note the famous ATC midrange driver. |

DIY room treatments which works like magic, believe it or not !
